Who is the GEARHEAD?
Judy Purze is the city slicker
turned
GEARHEAD. A 6-day Grand Canyon raft trip resulted
in a major lifestyle change. Having been a corporate clone for 18 years in the
shopping center industry, she found another world in the wilderness. She
learned that there was a whole world of people as clueless about gear as she
first was, so she created GEARHEAD to take the hassle out of trip
preparation. Judy knows how to save you money on gear that you may only use for
a week, and where to get it. She will make sure you are not over-geared or
under-geared for your adventure. Having always been a world traveler she is now
an adventure world traveler with a primary interesting in rafting.
Judy has a BS in marketing and international business from the University of Colorado and a Masters in International business from the American Graduate School of Int'l Business (Thunderbird), has completed the Second City School of Improv, and whitewater guide school. She is also an assistant travel editor for INsider Magazine.

How does
GEARHEAD
work?
GEARHEAD is a service. We get what you want and
ship it directly to you. We can get everything on a gear list provided
by the outfitters, or we can get individual items such as tents,
sleeping bags, headlamps, etc.
GEARHEAD is not a
store. Items are purchased as needed, on an individual basis. You pay the
actual cost of the items, plus a small service fee. VISA and MasterCard
accepted on all orders.
